What does the term self-care mean?
Self-care literally means taking care of yourself. Taking care of yourself in a way that is good for you. Lovingly and with attention. Because your own well-being and health can also be on your to-do list. In this way you consciously work on improving your mental and physical health and your energy will flow better. Self-care is like a gift to yourself that makes you feel better than before. It can be a grand gesture or just a moment in between that can make the difference. By taking good care of yourself, you can also take better care of others.
Why is self-care important for you?

How do you apply self-care?
Do you want to feel better in your skin? Feel less stressed by life, feel healthier or improve your concentration? Everything stands or falls with self-care. Pay attention to yourself. Allow yourself the warmth, love and relaxing moments you long for. Put yourself higher on your to-do list and make self-care part of your planning. But how do you do that? For example, by giving yourself enough sleep or by exercising daily. By eating healthy food, creating moments of rest or just doing nothing.
When was the last time you really did nothing for a while? You may not be very good at it, but you can even learn “nothingness” and it feels good not having to do anything for a while. Put on a face mask, flip through your favorite book, turn on some lovely music or treat yourself to a yoga class.
